Willie Lee Hodge Jr., Donor
Willie Hodge was a kind, gentle man of 50 years....
He suffered terribly for over 15 years from the deadly disease as a severe brittle diabetic. In life, he always wanted to be a donor and at the very end of his life, His organs were so severely compromised that instead of being an organ donor, he became a tissue donor to help advance the research on diabetes. It is our hope that some kind of medication could be made to stop the progression of severe diabetes so that others will never have to suffer.
His family prays daily that his donation will allow scientists, medical staff, doctors, pharmaceuticals and anyone else that needs information to learn more about this disease. I pray his gifts will allow others to have a full, successful and beautiful life free from disease and illness.
Willie always cared about others and wanted the best for everyone. His final wish was to leave something of himself here on Earth to help others. He has indeed completed his mission with his gifts left behind.
As his mother, I am thankful and grateful for my son’s generosity in leaving behind his donations for the health and well-being of all those still here on Earth.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL.
