A great hero...

Karen registered to donate all of what she could at the age of 16. She passed away at 18, and was able to save the lives of at least five people by being a donor.

Not only did she register herself, she also motivated others to register as well. She helped many of her peers register and in admiration of her decisions, we will continue to register more donors in honor of Karen Hernandez, a great hero.

Where do I start. Karen was an amazing young women who had a smile that can take all your sorrows away. I didn't realize how much a person can mean to you till they are gone. My friend for only a few months became a friend like I knew for a life time. Karen made in impact on my life and mostly in my heart. She will always be my hero! I could still remember our last day together. Everything to the point. Laughing, smiling and just having fun. I will miss my friend Karen! Always <3 Forever my Red Power Ranger! <3

Karen had a heart of gold. I thought about being a donor but never did it. I'm considering becoming one now. Karen still lives on saving those people's lives. She was such an awesome worker and we had a short time to get to know her. But I will always remember that big smile and soft voice. My last conversation with her was a happy and positive one. Before she left work that night she was having a lot of fun with her Co workers. I continue to pray for her and the family. God is by their side and she is now an angel watching over them. It's the toughest part of life and everyone needs to have faith and believe that one day we will be reunited with our loved ones. We miss you Karen, and you'll never be forgotten. A true hero!
