I can't begin to tell you how proud and grateful I am...

My husband John (Grumpy to our Grandkids) passed suddenly. Although he was unable to donate his organs, I was contacted and told they were able to use his eyes, tissue, etc. to make a better life for others. This helped me so much with my grieving process.

Two years later, my son, who has PSC, was put on the waiting list for a liver in Colorado. Family blood types didn’t match so he had to wait. Then, a co-worker of his came forward, met the requirements, and donated half his liver. I’m happy to say both came through with flying colors. My son is healthier than he’s been in years and our new family member, Jared, recovered faster than anyone expected. Being a wife and a mother on both sides of the fence, I can’t begin to tell you how proud and grateful I am for this special and personal gift of giving.
