Even after life he continues to give...

Christopher Thomas Reid
October 17, 1990 – May 2018

Christopher was a very special person. He was so many things. A beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, friend, veteran, artist and the list goes on. He had a golden heart, and even during difficult times his light still shined.

He was always caring and generous. Even if he had nothing he would still give what he had. If someone was in need he would surely give the shirt off his back.

He was very creative. He always enjoyed drawing and building things. He spent some of his time as a tattoo artist. He also spent time framing and building houses. He was the type of artist that could look at something and draw it out perfectly. He had a brilliant mind. From a young age he would take things totally apart and put them back together, making the original object better.
This was in a sense an analogy of his life. He always strived to be the best. Even if things didn’t always work out the way he wanted, he would take the pieces and try to make something even better.

He had an amazing sense of humor. If someone had to break the ice in any situation, he would be the one to do so. He would always know how to make someone laugh. He also had an ability to really reach people and be able to make them smile when they really needed it.

He really loved music and enjoyed spending time playing his guitar. He loved to show his nephews his skills and teach them. He was definitely the “Cool Uncle”.

He was always very close to the family. He was loving, caring and protective. He had many friends that he loved and also considered family. He has touched so many lives. He will be greatly missed by many and always remembered. We are truly blessed that we had such a beautiful person in our lives.
It is fitting for Christopher that even after life he continues to give.

As a family the life that he is able to give other’s gives a silver lining to the pain from our loss. We are so proud <3

Christopher was like a son to me. Every day I remember him love. He was kind, intelligent and funny. He loved his family more than anything. He was a gift to this world. He left this life too soon. I am thankful that he made the decision to donate life to others. I love you baby boy!

I am Christopher’s sister. Anyone who knows our family knows that we are a “tight knit” family and also know that my brother and I were very close. We have a very special bond. We grew up together and have many inside jokes and dialogue only we would understand. It was us, we had our own little world. There is always the parents or adults view and then there is the children and their view, their story. We were never lonely as kids because we always had each other. We had a good sibling relationship growing up, of course there is always sibling rivalry, but we were always more friends than foes. He loved to annoy me when we were kids and sometimes get me in trouble. But it was always more fun to work together to annoy mom. We would tag team to get mom annoyed and it was hilarious. As we became adults our relationship grew into more of a close friendship. We were able to have deep and meaningful conversations. We would reminisce about things that only we could. He was always a very caring, loving and protective brother. He was also an amazing Uncle. I’m glad that they had their own special bond because he was an active and important part in the boy’s lives since they were born. My brother was my first friend. My closest friend, my best friend. No one knows me better than he did. I can’t remember my life without him. Words can’t describe how I feel now. I guess its like a piece of me is missing. Or like a pair of shoes and now one of the shoes are missing. I am very thankful for my brother He helped shape the person that I am today. I wouldn’t even be the same person and I won’t be the same person now that he is gone. I will always cherish the memories and good times that we had. I came across a quote that has been quoted differently by different people so I can’t credit it to anyone. “ To live in the hearts of those we love is to never die”. His memory will live on. And he is still with us. Visiting us in dreams or communicating with us in other special ways.
