Laura Dickens, Donante

She gave sight to others...

Laura was our oldest daughter. She was a donor and she passed away from a heart attack at the age of 47.

She was a very bright and very outgoing young lady. She always had a beautiful smile on her face. She would light up a room.

We were told by the donor program of Texas that she gave sight to two gentlemen by donating her corneas. How wonderful is that.

Laura was my precious daughter. When morale got low at work she told her crew she was in the Olympics and had to take a leave of absence to go train. she said she was a gymnast. Mind you, Laura was about 40 years old and on the heavy side. She then proceeded to go through her routine for them. Well, you can only imagine the laughter that burst out from her co workers. she was such a fun loving person and deeply cared for others. she especially loved times spent with family. We miss her so much.
