He was a loving, sensitive and kind soul...

Dan was a kidney transplant recipient. The gift of life was given to him by his nephew, Ron, fourteen years ago. Dan could never thank him enough for that second chance at life. Dan always knew that he would be a donor after that. Though he was very ill, he was able to become a tissue donor. I know he would have been so happy to know that he was able to give the gift of sight to a person in need, as well as provide skin tissue for those suffering from severe wounds and in need of skin grafts. He was a loving, sensitive and kind soul. We miss him but are so very proud of him for being a donor and helping to improve the lives of others.

In Loving Memory of Dan Dan’s memory lives on through the love, laughter, and all the little moments we shared together. He was my mom’s husband and my stepdad, but to me he was so much more than that — a loving, sensitive, and kind soul. Dan was always willing to help if you needed it, and he was the guy everyone went to for tech questions or troubleshooting. He was our “tech guru,” always chasing after the newest gadgets — even though, toward the end, he didn’t always know how to use them. That never stopped him from showing them off and getting a kick out of having the latest thing. One of the biggest things that connected us was football. Dan was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, while I’ve always flown with the Philadelphia Eagles. Our teams have one of the oldest and fiercest rivalries in NFL history, so every game between them felt like a championship. Watching those games together gave us some of the best and worst times — the highs of victory, the lows of defeat — but those moments are what made them unforgettable. It won’t ever be the same without him, but when I think back on those times, it always makes me smile. We also shared a love of music, countless Star Trek marathons, and pretty much every Tom Cruise movie we could get our hands on. It was those simple things, those everyday joys, that made the time we spent together so special. Those are the memories of Dan I’ll always carry with me.  Until we meet again.
